In collaboration with the American Councils for International Education, we will host a French hybrid project on investigating and prosecuting cybercrime through the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). Participants will aim to discuss U.S. policy and laws related to cybercrime and prosecution of these crimes, and will examine U.S. initiatives and efforts aimed at combating and preventing ransomware attacks. They will explore methods to foster greater international coordination to combat the threat of cybercrime and ransomware attacks. The program will take place in-person in Washington DC, followed by a virtual panel where they will engage with their Detroit counterparts.
