Sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Buenos Aires, ten (10) labor union leaders from Argentina will visit Detroit to connect with labor union resources found in federal, state, and local government, academia, unions, community organizations, and other relevant organizations. In their meetings, participants will gain an understanding of labor issues in the U.S. through the lens of women’s empowerment. They will also have opportunities to engage with a diverse array of Americans in cultural events and home hospitality visits. Before arriving in Detroit the delegation will have orientation and labor meetings in Washington, D.C., then they will meet with more labor union connections in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
