Sixteen (16) recent Patchwork Foundation alumni from the United Kingdom will meet with Detroit-based thought leaders on youth empowerment, particularly on the topics of diversifying economic and civic opportunities, alongside encouraging political engagement.  Discussions will focus on new and innovative approaches to ensuring young persons from disadvantaged backgrounds are empowered to be active members of society. This project hopes to strengthen and reinforce cultural ties between the U.S and U.K, provide outreach to young leaders, and to promote credible voices by working with Mission Colleagues to identify key emerging leaders.
