Global Ties Detroit will be hosting eight (8) women professionals from Turkiye participating in the IVLP Meridian International Center program Women in Law Enforcement! These women participating in this program are representatives from Turkish law enforcement agencies and will be examining policies and strategies to advance and support women in law enforcement leadership. During their stay they will be visiting law enforcement entities, which will include local police as well as federal border patrol agents, learning how women contribute to the field and practice of law enforcement. The objective of this program is to study topics including leadership, mentoring, professional development, career planning, and women’s roles in law enforcement.
