The American Leadership Experience (ALEX) program is a U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs sponsored program. The ALEX program is a three week program that focuses on civic education, leadership, project development, community service, and diversity and inclusion and fosters topics of mutual understanding, respect, and civic engagement. We will be hosting ten (10) young leaders between the ages of 18-20 years old from Ukraine staying in Detroit for one week. During their week in SE Michigan, the ALEX group will meet with government officials, community leaders, faculty and college students, and more. They will also take part in home hospitality dinners, volunteer at community organizations, and engage in cultural activities and sports events for an active and well-rounded program.
