Global Ties Detroit will be hosting 12 delegates participating in the International Visitor Leadership Program Cultural Vistas program Promoting Social Change Through Music. These delegates will be visiting from Belarus, Belgium, Bolivia, Cuba, Estonia, Latvia, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Qatar, Sierra Leone, The People's Republic of China, and Uganda. This is a MultiRegional Project designed to allow delegates to learn about strategies for promoting inclusivity in music education as well as the economic impacts of musical preservation. During their stay they will be attending professional meetings, attending a home hospitality dinner, and connecting with their metro-Detroit counterparts.
