The Promoting Diversity in the Workplace program is an IVLP program designed to allow participants to develop understanding of how women succeed in business and in executive roles in the United States. Global Ties Detroit will be hosting six (6) delegates working in human affairs from businesses based in Kyushu, Japan. These delegates will be exposed to case studies on how U.S. businesses and academia support women managers and executives. They will also examine the benefits and strategic opportunities enabled by diversity in workplaces and leadership. During their stay this delegation will have the opportunity to go on visits to companies with high ratios of women executives, meetings with businesses and organizations aimed at developing women leadership, as well as having discussions with U.S. businesses and academia that support diversity in leadership positions.
