Global Ties Detroit will be hosting five (5) women from Japan participating in the IVLP Institute of International Education program Empowering Women Managers in Manufacturing delegation. The objective of this program is to learn about women-owned businesses in the United States and explore how the automobile, tech, and manufacturing sectors support the advancement of women in business. These five women will be exploring the challenges that women business representatives experience in reaching leadership positions and gaining international experience specifically in the automobile and other manufacturing sectors. During their stay these delegates will be meeting with women owned businesses to discuss opportunities for women in business to work abroad. They will also be meeting with NGO's as well as U.S. automobile enterprises to address gender gaps in the workforce and in business.
