Global Ties Detroit is honored to be welcoming five (5) professional leaders from Vietnam participating in the International Visitor Leadership program (IVLP) Institute of International Education program Freedom of Religion and Belief in Vietnam. This program aims to improve the protection of religious practitioners in Vietnam and promote a legal framework aligned with global norms for freedom of religion. One of the objective of this program is to support Vietnam’s implementation for decrees of its Law of Religion and beliefs that help improve protections for religious practitioners across Vietnam, especially in ethnic-minority populations. During their stay they will be meeting with U.S. government agencies, academic institutions, and faith-based groups to connect with experts in the fields of law, policy, practice, and religion.
