During this segment Global Ties Detroit President Marian Reich had the opportunity to speak about Global Ties Detroit's mission to forge lasting relationships with emerging international leaders. She also spoke about our upcoming TechGirls program that we are hosting in collaboration with Legacy International.

    Global Ties U.S. 2024 National Meeting: a First-Timer’s Experience

    This past March, I headed to Arlington, VA with my fellow Global Ties Detroit staff and Board Members to attend the Global Ties U.S. 2024 National Meeting. I’ve been with GTD for two years now, but as a National Meeting newbie, I got to take everything in and was mesmerized by how sizable the Global Ties network is (more than 600 members were in attendance!), as well as by how incredibly passionate my fellow network members are about citizen diplomacy.

    Global Ties Delegation Visits EL CENTRAL
    March 28, 2024

    On March 15, a delegation of 11 journalists and editors from Estonia visited the offices of EL CENTRAL as part of an international exchange program coordinated by Global Ties Detroit. The visiting media experts were interested in learning more about EL CENTRAL’s partnership with the Race and Justice Reporting Initiative to diversify our newsroom and give minorities and women a greater voice while promoting representative democracy.
