The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) supports young Africans as they spur economic growth and prosperity, strengthen democratic governance, and enhance peace and security across the African continent. This summer, we look forward to partnering with Wayne State University to engage Africa’s Public Management and Administration leaders through academic coursework, leadership training, mentoring, networking, professional opportunities, and local community engagement. Global Ties Detroit will facilitate networking sessions to connect YALI changemakers with their Detroit counterparts, as well as cultural events, dinner hospitality, and volunteer service projects to fully immerse the leaders into the Detroit community.
