Global Ties Detroit will be partnering with Meridian International Center to welcome the Business Entrepreneurship and Trade delegation from Peru. This project examines the role of small businesses to drive sustained economic growth and prosperity and hone skills to encourage entrepreneurship. This program will include participants exploring business models that support small business growth and economic development that will help benefit their local communities. They will also learn how to best trademark their product and receive government start-up assistance. This program will allow delegates to participate in discussions as well as site visits that highlight the social, economic, legal, and political factors that encourage the development of private enterprise, including innovation, managerial skills, government incentives, the removal of barriers to growth, access to credit and venture capital, business incubators, and public-private partnerships.
