Eight (8) Albanian professionals will visit Detroit for a project to explore the media’s contributions to fighting corruption and organized crime, holding police and judicial bodies accountable as well as supporting those institutions in upholding the rule of law; analyze differences in journalistic techniques in the United States; and illustrate best practices from media outlets, non-profit organizations, and journalism associations supporting independent media work, as well as watchdog organizations and leading media outlets that exposed corruption and organized crime activity.
