The Women in Manufacturing program is a IVLP sponsored Meridian International Center administered program designed to showcase best practices used in the United  women manufacturing sector in hiring, retention, and workforce development. Global Ties Detroit will be hosting a delegation of ten (10) human resource officers, trade school students, and women working in manufacturing. The objective of this program is to allow participants to learn and network with women in the manufacturing workplace to examine ways to recruit, develop, and retain women in this field. These delegates will have the opportunity to meet with women owned businesses and organizations, have discussions with their counterparts in manufacturing, and go on cultural activities.
