ACCESS is a nonprofit organization that empowers communities to improve their economic, social and cultural well-being. They provide comprehensive services in the areas of health and wellness, education, youth, and employment. When COVID-19 cases in Southeast Michigan began growing exponentially, ACCESS partnered with The Wayne State University Physician Group to provide free drive-through testing for symptomatic health care workers and first responders in Dearborn and Detroit. As the pandemic continues, ACCESS Deputy Director Madiha Tariq will discuss the importance of creating global health diplomacy through mediums like the ACCESS 9th Arab Health Summit. The discussion will be from 3:30 - 4 PM.
Madiha Tariq, MPH, is the Deputy Director at ACCESS where she oversees health promotion and disease prevention programs focused on immigrant and refugees. She earned her Master of Public Health degree from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Politics and Economics from Middlebury College.
