Global Ties Detroit will be hosting 3 head faculty members from the University of Nouakchott Al Aasriya in Mauritania participating in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) Meridian International Center program International Partnerships in Higher Education. During their stay these participants will be exploring the scope and role of university international program offices, specifically programs that encourage innovation and foster international academic collaboration. They also will be meeting with faculty of various universities in Southeast Michigan and higher education development resources to observe best practices for establishing university partnerships, learning how international partnerships can enhance global academic presence.
