Global Ties Detroit will be welcoming eight (8) professionals from the European Union, Georgia, Netherlands, Poland, Republic of North Macedonia, Republic of Türkiye, Spain, and United Kingdom participating in the International Visitor Leadership Program FHI 360 program The Contemporary U.S. Economy: Trade, Economic Development, and Financial Markets. During their stay this delegation will be examining the U.S. financial markets in their domestic and global contexts, learn U.S. perspectives on international economic and monetary issues, and gain opportunities to exchange views on the U.S.-Europe and the Republic of China's economic relationship. They also will be reviewing the U.S.'s efforts to strengthen its economy and the international economic system, including stimulating growth and employment, reforming financial institutions, and creating initiatives to assist the recovery of the financial sector domestically and internationally.
