Global Ties Detroit will be welcoming four (4) professionals from Japan participating in the International Visitor Leadership Program Meridian International Center program Enhancing Japan's Academic Research Integrity through Export Controls and Visa Screening. This program was designed to highlight how universities and research institutes implement research integrity practices and engage the federal government to protect critical technology. During their stay this delegation will be meeting with university professors and researchers to understand how they implement research practices to engage the federal government to protect critical technologies. They also will be meeting with U.S. government officials and law enforcement to learn about the visa screening mechanisms for foreign researchers and students.
