Global Ties Detroit will be hosting six (6) young leaders from India participating in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) Meridian International Center program Social Media Strategies for Building Community Resilience. This program is designed to expose these young leaders to U.S. models of social campaigns designed to build strong community resilience. During their stay this delegation will be discussing best practices in promoting diversity, tolerance, and inclusion in educational institutions, interfaith groups, and community policing programs. They also will be exploring how U.S. Government agencies (Federal, State, and Local) engage with local communities in areas such as civic engagement, education, religion, law enforcement, and job training.
