Global Ties Detroit will be hosting the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) Cultural Vistas program Investigating and Prosecuting Human Rights Violations from Kazakhstan. We will be hosting four (4) government officials visiting to connect with their counterparts as well as examine the federal laws and monitoring of civil rights. During their stay these delegates will be meeting with local law enforcement to learn about local rules for maintaining citizens’ civil rights, examining cooperation between police and prosecutors as it relates to investigations, and meeting with local law enforcement to discuss training efforts and police protocols for arrest and detention.
