Public Private Partnerships for Sustainable Urban Infrastructure Development

    Kyrgyzstan

Global Ties Detroit will be hosting six (6) delegates from Kyrgyzstan as part of The Public Private Partnerships for Sustainable Urban Infrastructure Development program. These delegates are from the Bishkek City Development and Investment Promotion Agency (BCDIPA) visiting to meet with their Michigan counterparts to understand how U.S. city governments attract economic investments in sustainable urban infrastructure. This program is designed to examine how American governments raise capital to finance climate friendly infrastructure projects through public-private partnerships. During their stay these delegates will be meeting with local environmental organizations to understand their influence on infrastructure, city transportation agencies to explore how they encourage and finance public transit projects, and city housing and social services agencies to learn about how they partner with private organizations to provide services for low income communities.
