Promoting Social Change Through the Arts
Azerbaijan, Barbados, Cambodia, Nigeria, Poland, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, and Zimbabwe
Global Ties Detroit will be working with IVLP and Meridian International Center to host ten (10) delegates from Azerbaijan, Barbados, Cambodia, Nigeria, Poland, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, and Zimbabwe. During their stay these delegates will be examining the role of arts education in encouraging young people to be responsible and engaged members of society. They will also be participating in discussions about the involvement of the private sector in the arts, art associations, unions, cooperatives, and corporate and foundational support for the arts.
