This April Global Ties Detroit will be welcoming four (4) delegates from France participating in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) Meridian International Center program Promoting Education and Empowerment of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. This program will explore U.S. efforts to provide equal access to education and to remove barriers to full participation in social, economic, and political life for people who are deaf and hard of hearing in the United States. The objective of this program is to introduce the Americans with Disabilities Act and its application in U.S. education and society with a focus on people who are deaf or hard of hearing to participants.
