Ten (10) youth ambassadors will be visiting SE Detroit participating in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) American Councils for International Education program Honoring 75 Years of U.S.-Indonesia Relations. In celebration of 75 years of bi-lateral relations between the U.S. and Indonesia these participants will be examining American government, society, and culture. The objective of this program is to highlight the political, social, and economic partnership (CSP) between the U.S. and Indonesia. During their stay they will be meeting with political youth groups, civil society, young elected officials from diverse backgrounds, and members of the Senate Foreign Relations and House Foreign Affairs sub-committees focused on Asia. They also will be visiting various universities, meeting with student groups (including Indonesian student associations), and attend lectures.
