This August we will be welcoming nine (9) visitors from Ukraine participating in the International Visitor Leadership Program Mississippi Consortium for International Development program Cultural Management and Arts Entrepreneurship. This delegation is visiting metro-Detroit to explore innovative approaches to arts administration and foster dialogue between Ukrainian and American arts organizations. The participants will learn strategies to facilitate collaboration between artists from different cultural backgrounds and promote crosscultural exchanges in the arts. The participants will also learn how to link artists and broad societal innovation, particularly with regard to economic and job growth. During their stay they will engage with American museums, galleries, and arts organizations to gain insights into managing and promoting art events, exhibitions, and cultural projects. The focus will be on developing strategies that can be implemented in Ukraine to enhance the art ecosystem and support the growth of the arts community.
