Global Ties Detroit will be hosting eleven (11) social entrepreneurs to examine the rise of social entrepreneurship in the United States and how innovation in the U.S. can improve social, economic, and environmental change. The objective of this program is to explore best practices in the United States to promote social advancement and economic empowerment progress. They also will be connecting with social entrepreneurs from disadvantaged groups who have used their organizations to advance a cause and give a voice to their communities. These social entrepreneurs will be participating in community service activities, home hospitality dinners, university visits, and meetings with their U.S. counterparts specifically in creative industries with the potential to evolve into U.S. partnerships and collaborations.
