The 21st Century Changemakers: Countering Disinformation among Older Adults project is a U.S. Department of State sponsored Mississippi Consortium for International Development administered program. This program is designed to offer English-speaking teachers and adult education administrators with the opportunity to observe current and new English language curriculum trends and developments. One of the objectives to this program is to introduce and grant exposure to the threat that disinformation causes and to explore strategies on how to teach senior citizens ways to use social media, learn about privacy concerns, and on-line ethics to help counter disinformation. We will be hosting these  11 educators for 5 days. During their stay here they will be attending sessions on programs that help teach older adults media literacy, workshops that give an overview of new multi-media educational products used in teaching older adults, and get the change to interact with teachers and students in English as a second language and foreign language classrooms.
