Global Ties Detroit Welcomes Christy Clark to Board of Directors

Global Ties Detroit is pleased to announce the appointment of Christy Clark to its Board of Directors. A dedicated advocate for sustainability, community engagement, and international collaboration, Christy brings valuable experience and a longstanding connection to the organization's mission.
As Director of Sustainability and Compliance within DTE's Environmental Management and Safety organization, Christy leads efforts that support environmental stewardship and responsible business practices. Her professional expertise, combined with her passion for building meaningful relationships, makes her a strong addition to the Board.
Christy's connection to Global Ties Detroit began through her involvement in hosting international visitors and exchange programs at DTE.
"I participated in a delegation meeting at DTE with Jaspreet Singh (GTD Advisory Board Member) and then hosted a fellow. I was hooked when I saw the value and connection created with people from all over the world interested in similar work and passions we have here at DTE," Christy shared. "I am still in touch with individuals I met a couple years ago. The mission of Global Ties Detroit resonates with me, especially as a resident of Detroit."
Among her favorite Global Ties Detroit experiences was helping host an international delegation focused on renewable energy.
"The delegates had such incredible questions and experiences to share about renewable energy in their countries," she said. "I especially enjoyed hearing from the women in the delegation and relating to their experiences."
Christy also fondly recalls hosting participants from the TechGirls program at DTE, describing the experience as both meaningful and inspiring.
As she joins the Board, Christy is excited to continue supporting Global Ties Detroit and helping showcase all that Detroit has to offer.
"I'm really looking forward to exploring all I can do to help support Global Ties Detroit," she said. "I'm honored to be a part of the Board."
