    Gulf Coast Diplomacy

    On Thursday, 3 December 2020, from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Central Time (UTC -6), you are invited to meet IVLP alumna Rabi Wilson who will discuss her work and research around women and girls. As a Senior Portfolio Management Office at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, Rabi enables delivery of a portfolio of over 30 international projects while leading on Gender Policy, contract management, due diligence and learning and development. She is the Head of Policy, Culture and Evidence in her department’s staff network Women Empowered, where she focuses on empowering women in the workforce and including male allies in conversation around feminism. Her volunteer work includes experience leading community engagement initiatives in the health education sector in South Africa. She holds an MA in Anthropology International Development and Human Rights where she specialized in Violence Against Women & Girls. She hopes to further develop her leadership skills and learn how to better engage young people in discussion on harmful gender roles. In her spare time, Rabi runs a small business and loves to take up creative projects such as calligraphy.
