Open World is a Congressional Office for International Leadership (COIL) sponsored, FHI 360 administered program. Global Ties Detroit is excited to welcome six (6) community leaders and advocates from Latvia. These participants will be visiting from March 10th-18th, focusing on the themes of Inclusivity and Tolerance. These themes include how people can show diversity through LGBTQ+ issues, religion, culture, ability etc. This programming will incorporate group meetings, seminars and round table discussions. To enhance their knowledge of life and culture in the United States these fellows will be staying with homestay hosts in metro-Detroit, as well as participating in different social and cultural activities.
