Civic Engagement for Elections
Fifteen (15) Hondurian professionals will meet with their Detroit counterparts for a virtual project to examine the role of civic education in a participative democracy. They will discuss strategies to engage young and first-time voters and explore how political leaders, civil society, and NGOs can promote a peaceful electoral process and mitigate electoral violence and the rhetoric that causes it.
