Five (5) Canadian senior and mid-level law enforcement officials will be visiting Detroit, participating in the U.S. Department of State sponsored, Meridian International administered program, Countering Violent Crime through Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. This program is designed to share successful operational and strategic level methods to counter violent crime. These law enforcement officials will examine cross border cooperation and information sharing on transnational crime through case studies that include efforts combating gun and gang related violence. This program includes site visits to local, state, and federal law and customs enforcement offices, meeting with law officials, as well as non-profit organizations.
