Delegates from Canada will meet with Detroiters to examine the historical and legal framework for the U.S. civil rights movement; explore how the private sector, academic institutions, and government bodies can foster democratic equality and multiculturalism; and discuss media engagement as an effective means of increasing public awareness and support for civil rights.
