Global Ties Detroit will be hosting 21 delegates from Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Burma, Burundi, Fiji, Georgia, Germany, Hong Kong S.A.R., Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Jamaica, Kenya, Latvia, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Morocco, Poland,  Republic of Macedonia, and Ukraine participating in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) World Learning Youth and Civic Engagement program. The objective of this program is to examine leadership strategies and communication skills used to manage political and social challenges while balancing divergent social demands and interests. During their stay these delegates will be participating in workshops on fostering alliances and leadership development. They also will be sitting in on meetings and sessions highlighting the use and benefits of news and social media.
