Stay up to date with Global Ties Detroit!
Nine (9) Saudi Arabian education and labor ministry officials, educators, and non-governmental organization representatives will meet with their professional counterparts in Metro Detroit to discuss public-private partnerships, economic empowerment, community service initiatives and innovation in entrepreneurship. While in the United States, the participants will learn the role of technical education, with a heavy emphasis on supporting and integrating women and young people into the workforce.
Aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 development program, Workforce Development for Women and Youth is intended to emphasize a high skill labor force and the growth of self-made entrepreneurs. The project strives to support women and youth by expanding their networks and capabilities and to strengthen Saudi public and private entities to better address emerging economic challenges. The project focuses on deepening U.S-Saudi commercial ties and to promote robust, non-petroleum economic growth in Saudi Arabia
