Please join us and Gulf Coast Diplomacy on Tuesday, September 28th, from 1-2PM Eastern to explore The Value of Breast Health for Sustainable Cities, a discussion to be led by Nicole Joseph-Chin, a 2011 and 2021 U.S. Department of State International Visitor Leadership Program participant and the founder of social enterprise Ms. Brafit.
Joseph-Chin’s work has become synonymous with servant-leadership, women and girl’s empowerment, breast esteem advocacy, and education development. She uses a social impact model to empower women diagnosed with breast cancer, women in leadership, medical professionals, academic organizations, and adolescent girls during their body development.
As a multiple award winner, Joseph-Chin is a Vital Voices VV100 Woman of the Vital Voices Global Partnership, a recipient of a Government of India Fellowship, and a 2018 awardee of the Association of Female Executives of Trinidad & Tobago (AFETT) Social Entrepreneur of the year. In 2017 she was part of a coalition of civil society organizations that worked to change the legislation to ending child marriage in Trinidad and Tobago.
As a social impact strategist, Joseph-Chin dedicates her efforts to coaching entrepreneurs and start-ups on how to include effective and sustainable social impact into their business models that can lead to global impact and change agency. This became an active part of a MOOCS program she led for the U.S. Embassy in Port of Spain in 2014.
