Global Ties Detroit will be partnering with the International Visitor Leadership Program and FHI 360 to host seven (7) religious figures exploring religious and cultural pluralism and the experiences of Muslims in the United States. During their stay this delegation will be attending meetings with Islamic leaders to discuss religion in their communities, religious education in the United States, interreligious dialogue, curriculum and curriculum development for religious studies, civic engagement, governance and human rights issues. They also will be discussing issues of importance for Muslim-Americans in the national election. The main objective of this program is to engage with religious and community leaders to share approaches to interreligious and interfaith dialogue and cultivate understanding, tolerance, and community.
