Sponsored by the Congressional Office for International Leadership (COIL), Global Ties Detroit will welcome a delegation of six (6) government and community leaders from Latvia to focus on an ESCO model toward the topic of “Green Solutions.  These leaders will explore best practices in helping local communities and their leaders find ways to improve their energy efficiency through energy conservation measures and energy-saving opportunities. Program activities will focus not only on conserving energy and combating heat loss, which is a major issue in older buildings,  but also a focus on the financial tools and incentives that American communities, local governments and/or municipalities employ to encourage energy conservation.
