Global Ties Detroit will be hosting six (6) educators participating in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) Meridian International Center program from Oman Higher Education Partnerships. This program is designed to build and reinforce the efforts to strengthen the connections  between the U.S. and Middle East and North African universities. These delegates will participate in attending meetings, site visits, and activities focused on the accreditation process, expansion of Fulbright program opportunities, and recruitment strategies for American students to attend MENA institutions, receive potential university partnerships, and obtain intellectual freedom and critical thinking. During their stay these participants will be examining higher education administrations at public, private, and land grant universities as well as examine U.S. strategies that promote intellectual freedom and innovation.
