    Freedom 250: U.S. Science and Technology Entrepreneurship

    Brazil, Hungary, Japan, Thailand, and Türkiye

    Global Ties Detroit is pleased to welcome participants in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) project, Freedom 250: U.S. Science and Technology Entrepreneurship, a multi-regional exchange sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and administered by Meridian International Center. From June 26–July 1, 2026, emerging leaders and innovators from Brazil, Hungary, Japan, Thailand, and Türkiye will engage with Detroit-area institutions, entrepreneurs, and community leaders to explore how the United States fosters innovation and supports science and technology entrepreneurship. The program highlights the roles of universities, investors, private enterprise, and government in advancing innovation, empowering young people in STEM fields, and addressing global technological and social challenges through collaboration and entrepreneurship.
