Global Ties Detroit is excited to be welcoming four (4) delegates participating in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) FHI 360 program Environmental Engagement and the Economies of Central Asia. This delegation includes participants from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, these delegates will be examining government policies that businesses take into consideration as they strive to ensure profitability and growth while being environmentally responsible. The objective of this program is to concentrate on cooperation in the environmental and energy sectors, with some focus on water and border issues. This delegation will also be observing relationships and alliances among all levels of government with citizen groups and private organizations to address the effects of global environmental challenges and ensure environmental protection.
