Global Ties Detroit will be hosting International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) Cultural Vistas delegation of six (6) media specialist from India participating in the Call to Climate Action: Building Public Awareness through Media Advocacy program. During their stay they will be examining media approaches to generate public awareness and influence policy makers to address climate crisis here in the U.S. They also will be observing how environmental policy-making and media campaigns can be linked with solutions to improve human and ecosystem health and assure adequate food and water supplies, while simultaneously developing media strategies to promote public engagement in environmental conservation to limit global warming.
